Frequently asked questions.

How do I know if I need therapy?

If you are feeling like you have talked with friends, loved ones and your community but still need a space to process more. You`re not getting all that you need out of your natural supports and feel like you are still lost. Therapy can help at any stage of life but particularly if you are going through a life transition such as divorce, a birth, death, move. Therapy can be right for you if you feel like you have no control over your emotions no matter what you do.

How often do I need to come?

Frequency is very unique depending on what your goals are, what your schedule is like, how stable you are. I encourage everyone to start with once a week for the first month so we can establish a rapport. From there we will discuss what treatment looks like going forward. More than a month a part does not seem to be beneficial.

Do you do telehealth sessions?

Yes. Although I much prefer in person, telehealth options are available.

I do not want to re-tell my trauma.

Great- you do not need to. Upon intake you will receive forms to fill out. These give me a good idea of what your past could have looked like along with presenting symptoms. We move at your pace and time, eventually the trauma will surface in one way or another in our work together so we will process it then.
