Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy:

A Pathway to Deep Healing and Inner Transformation

Schedule Today

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) You are ready to shift. You are ready to go deeper. You are ready to feel whole again.

This is where the journey begins. Ketamine can be a powerful therapeutic tool to help you move past old patterns of thinking and behavior, offering an opportunity to access deep emotional, spiritual, and somatic healing.

My 6–10 week Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) program in Salt Lake City is a sacred, guided process designed to support healing at the root level. We typically meet twice a week — once for the ketamine session and once for integration. This evidence-based structure is considered ideal, but we’ll work together to create a schedule that fits your life and best serves your growth.

To begin, we schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if KAP is the right path for you. If it is, my medical provider will complete an intake and prepare the medicine, and together we’ll set your treatment schedule.

What to Expect in Each Ketamine Session

Each week, we meet in a safe and intentional space. You will take a therapeutic dose of ketamine (typically 200 mg) to enter a deep, expanded state of consciousness. This is not a casual or purely clinical experience — it’s a guided journey inward, supported by ritual, presence, and intention.

Before the session, I prepare the environment to ensure you feel energetically and physically safe. Upon arrival, we check in on how you’re feeling and do grounding exercises. You will set your intention for the session, and then we begin the medicine journey.

While under the influence of ketamine, many clients describe entering a dream-like or visionary state — a “soul journey,” a spiritual reset, or a profound introspective experience. You are never alone in this process. I sit with you the entire time, providing grounded, compassionate support, weaving in verbal guidance and sound healing, and gently reminding you of your intention. Treating each session as a ceremonial and intentional practice helps participants go deeper and gain more insight from their journey.

As the medicine wears off, we check in and help you safely re-ground into your body before leaving. The space remains calm, sacred, and supportive throughout, ensuring your process is fully contained.

Ketamine FAQs

  • I treat ketamine sessions like a ceremony. I smudge the room, call in safe ancestors and spirit guides. I believe this work is very sacred- even if it’s not a plant medicine. Intention is everything. I also utilize live sound healing and singing during the journey. This helps regulate our nervous systems and keeps the energy pure and light.

  • At this time insurance does not cover ketamine. However, I am happy to provide a super bill that you can submit for possible reimbursement.

  • For most people, their bodies feel heavy. Like they are moving in mu, you will most likely lie down the whole session, but are welcome to move if that’s what you need to do.

Your body feels distant, and it can feel like you are floating. Most report feeling a distance from painful memories or emotions. There is also an element of joy and ease that comes with ketamine

  • How It Works in the Brain

Unlike most antidepressants, which affect serotonin or dopamine levels and can take weeks to work, ketamine acts quickly by targeting a different neurotransmitter: glutamate.

Glutamate is the most abundant excitatory neurotransmitter in the brain, and it plays a key role in learning, memory, and mood regulation.

    Ketamine works primarily by:

    • Blocking NMDA receptors, which are involved in regulating glutamate activity.

    • This blockade leads to a burst of glutamate release and stimulates AMPA receptors, triggering a chain reaction that strengthens and rebuilds connections between brain cells.

    Promoting Neuroplasticity

One of ketamine’s most promising effects is its ability to promote neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to form new connections and pathways.

Research shows that ketamine can help:

    • Repair and grow synapses (connections between brain cells) that may have been damaged by chronic stress or depression

    • Increase levels of BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor), a protein that supports healthy brain function

    • Help the brain “reset” unhealthy thought patterns, making it easier to break out of negative emotional loops

    Rapid Relief of Symptoms

Because of these effects, many people experience relief from depression or suicidal thoughts within hours or days, rather than weeks. This makes ketamine especially valuable for people in crisis or those with treatment-resistant depression.

It’s normal to have questions or feel anxious about this work. Reach out anytime to discuss your concerns and see if trauma-informed ketamine therapy is the right path for you.
