Religious Deconstruction Thearpy
Reconnect with your intuition, your body, and your unique spiritual practice.
Many people come to therapy feeling spiritually unmoored — especially after leaving a highly structured or organized religion. This experience is common in Salt Lake City, where faith transitions can leave people longing for connection but uncertain where to begin. As a trauma-informed therapist, I offer a safe, supportive space to explore spirituality after religion and help you reconnect with what feels meaningful and authentic for you.
We start by rebuilding trust in your own intuition
Religious deconstruction therapy is ultimately about reclaiming your sense of self. It’s about moving out of fear and into clarity, out of obligation and into choice, and out of external authority and into a deeper trust in yourself.
In therapy, we create a space where you can explore this process without pressure, judgment, or expectation. You don’t need to have it all figured out. Together, we work to gently unpack what you’ve been taught, identify what still feels true to you, and release what no longer serves you.
This work often includes:
Processing the emotional and psychological impact of your religious experience
Understanding how trauma and conditioning may still be influencing you
Rebuilding a sense of internal safety and self-trust
Exploring your values, identity, and personal agency
Navigating changes in family, community, and relationships
As this process deepens, many people begin to reconnect with their own internal voice—the part of them that knows what feels grounded, safe, and authentic. From this place, it becomes possible to create something new.
Religious deconstruction is not just about what you are moving away from—it’s about understanding what you’re moving toward.
